Bio

Mahesh Naidu is a Scientific Engineering Associate in the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Mahesh conducts research and analyses on energy efficiency of HVAC equipment. His focus areas are statistical computing and data analysis in the domain of energy and environment data. Additionally, he studies emerging technologies in HVAC systems and controls while exploring their performance and contributions to the overall building energy consumption. His efforts serve as inputs to the development of efficiency test procedures.

Mahesh holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India. His past research emphasized on data driven techniques for electricity theft detection, demand forecasting, renewable energy forecasting and predictive maintenance. In addition, he has prior experience in industrial automation and renewable energy.
