Magnus Herrlin

Magnus Herrlin is an Energy Technology Researcher in the Building and Industrial Applications Department at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Principal of ANCIS Incorporated. Magnus has been the Program Lead for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP) training program since 2009. This program aims to raise the standards of those involved in energy assessments of data centers. At ANCIS, he develops indoor environmental and energy solutions for mission-critical facilities. Over his 40-year career, Magnus has developed energy modeling tools and modeled energy savings in data centers and telecom facilities. He has published many papers, reports, and standards for thermal management, energy management, decarbonization, mechanical system design and operation, and IT equipment reliability.
