Hanna Breunig Receives 2023 Energy and Environmental Science Lectureship Award
Hanna Breunig, a research scientist in the Energy Analysis and Environmental Impacts Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab), has been honored with the 2023 Energy and Environmental Science (EES) Lectureship Award from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Breunig is one of only two recipients of the annual award, which recognizes early-career researchers working within an energy research topic, and who have published in EES in the last three years. The lectureship provides an honorarium and the opportunity to attend and present their research at a leading international conference.
Breunig’s group at Berkeley Lab focuses on accelerating the adoption of early-stage energy technologies through techno-economic analysis and life cycle assessment, and have published three articles in EES since 2021. She received her doctorate degree in environmental engineering from the University of California-Berkeley.
