Terry Chan is a Staff Systems Administrator for the Energy Analysis and Environment Impacts Division at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
Terry is responsible for computer support for a 250 member division. His areas of expertise include: the installation and configuration of Linux, PC, Mac OS X server and workstations including hardware, software, and networking; research, pricing, and the ordering of systems, peripherals, and software; troubleshooting problems and managing repairs; as well as server and workstation virtualization with VMware ESXi, Workstation, Fusion, and Parallels. Terry manages and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
Prior to working in systems administration, Terry had been a Principal Research Associate for the Energy Analysis Department at LBNL. Prior to coming to LBNL, Terry was an Internal Auditor at the Bank of Boston.
Terry has a BA and MA in Economics from Boston University.
