Bio

Prof. Matthias Sulzer is a senior researcher at the Empa – Urban Energy System Lab, an institute of the ETH Domain, and teaches at ETH Zurich and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He also holds a research appointment at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the US. Matthias Sulzer studied building engineering at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and completed his master's degree at the Universities of New South Wales and Sydney in 1999. He founded Inretis Holding AG with two partners in 2005. In 2018 Inretis merged with poenina holding AG. Today, the listed company with over 1,400 employees is active in energy and building technology. From 2013 to 2020, he led the Swiss Competence Center for Energy Research - Buildings and Districts (SCCER-FEEBD). (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2094-2460)
