Bio

Amanda Krelling has a master’s degree in civil engineering and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, while working as an affiliate researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She was the Vice-Chair of the Committee to review the thermal performance assessment method for the Brazilian building performance standard, and worked on the revision of the Brazilian energy efficiency labeling scheme and seven other national standard projects. Her research covers the assessment of buildings through building performance simulation, especially focused on the evaluation of the thermal resilience of buildings and communities.
