MEI accepted as member of editorial board of SENER’s Energy Efficiency Bulletin

Dr. Michael McNeil, Director of Berkeley Lab's MEI has been invited to serve as a member of the Editorial Board of the Monthly E-Bulletin on Energy Efficiency Activities (Boletin Electronico Mensual de Difusion de Acciones de Eficiencia Energetica), published and distributed by Mexico's Energy Secretariat (SENER). The decision was made by current members of the Editorial Board and was communicated officially to MEI by Santiago Creuheras Diaz, General Director for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at SENER.  

The Bulletin disseminates information on actions and progress by different programs implemented in the country to achieve the goal of 1.9% reduction of final energy consumption in the period 2016-2030.  The objective is part of Mexico's Energy Strategy to promote the Use of Clean Energy and Fuels.  Members of the Bulletin's Editorial Board include the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE), the National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change (INECC), the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy (INEEL) and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), in addition to government agencies of the energy sector, industry associations and international cooperation organizations.

As part of its role as member of the Bulletin's Editorial Board, MEI will provide input on topics to be highlighted in coming months, such as development of norms for energy efficiency and residential lighting.
